 HELLO!!

                   WELCOME TO SIKU'S DIARY

Childhood Mindset VS Adult Mindset.

Truth be told, we, all humans including you and I are on a journey to success and greatness - or at least, we think we are on a journey to success. We all "dream" of doing "something big" or becoming "somebody noble" in society. If you ask the kid in you, you would hear him dangle a string of great greatness-granting goals.

Sure! he beseeches, with all joy and merry, you become either a lawyer, medical doctor, soldier, president, footballer, journalist, "bank manager" and many more. Did you hear him whisper the desire to be a teacher? Well.... I guess he did - though reluctantly!

But should I ask, have you ever felt like you have lost your purpose and dream? Do you ever feel like you are trekking on the wrong road headed to the wrong destination; the destination of doom and failure? I mean, if I must be more precise, have you ever felt like you are lost and that you are hankering behind the wrong goals?

To me the answer is a hated "YES!" and to you, it may or may not be. But keep up with me if we are in the same shoes so we can fathom a solution together. You can agree with me that we were all great and gold in the thoughts of our childhood days.

Sure! we saw the world to be ours and only ours. We saw no obstacles, and we had no fears. We were bold to brag and bag all the fortune and bounty of the world. Sure! we were the kings and queens of society - in our mind.

But how now have we lost all these beautifully carved images and feelings in our heads? Why have these images moved to the bottom corner, from the top-center, of our head? Or maybe they have been completely deleted from our heads! I don't know for you but for me, it feels like they are dead in my head because of suffocation.

Like on planet Pluto, there is no oxygen in my "adult head", unlike my "child head". Anxiety, fear, poverty, (too much) sex, drugs, bad friends, and poor parenting, among many other factors, I protest to be my (or should I say "our"?) source of predicament. This is why all the beautifully painted dreams in my "child-head" are dead in my adult head; do you feel so too?

Let's keep the rapport! As a child, we had no distractions; the focus was our greatest asset. But as we rocket to our current ages, the sky sings and the ground dances just to distract us from our humble young quest. We no more see the thrones and kingdoms in our world for "Nyash" is all that dangles in front of our lustful eyes. How I wish "Nyash" was not part of my menu! Is it part of your Menu too? If yes, then join me in the tears! Ladies, how do you keep up with the distraction that comes from six parks and six tracks from boys and men? "Hmmm, life nor easy ooo."

Not even in my write-up can I forget the opposite sex; this tells how obsessed we are with sex and sex-related activities. But do you know that sex is the most powerful emotion and that if we try to limit our interaction with it, and invest the remainder of it on our goals, we will make greatness? So guys and ladies! let's dribble a bit off sex and sex-related activities.

FEAR....! Indeed, as a child, we could shake the hand of a lion, and dine with him on the battlefield of ideas. We had bold moves to barge and bag all blinking golds! We could even jump into the battle of death to wrestle with whoever rose to impede us from attaining our dreams.

But now, we are being enveloped by fear; it's all around us. Fear of failure, fear of what people will think or say about us, fear of death, fear of opponents, fear of displeasing our parents, fear of hurting our friends, and many more have broken our knees and crippled our steps.

We are now pinned to the ground with earthquakes of rumbling terror. Our voices are but fade and pale. Amidst the multitude, we shout but with no voice. Do you agree that we are the same?

What can we do now to break this evil spell? I think we have to reboot our minds and restructure our thoughts. We have to drift off the negative mindset and swim into the widest ocean of positivity.

Our dark sky we must paint with twinkling stars of hope and courage. Our rough rode we must pave with patience and perseverance. Our blind eyes we must mend and our broken sward we must revamp and jump with open arms and mind, full of joy and zest, into the battlefield of greatness and strike to slaughter all our enemies and emerge victorious.

Cut off the head of all fear that creeps your path and chew their flesh raw, with a little amount of salt added. Drain the blood of negative feelings or thoughts into the red cup of doom and drink in the darkest eclipse. Break the giant chains that tie you to your comfort zone and flip as the bravest Eagle to snatch your meal.

Be relaxed but only when you have sent to prison all your enemies. The greatest route to success is psychological freedom. Make your world free and free for you to roam and dine with the kings and queens of your kind. It's not easy but if we accurately emulate the footprints of the great, we will rise and glow like the sun too. Let's keep the FAITH!

  1. This is mind-blowing and inspiring. Childhood mindset is like a scar and adulthood's is like a footprint. The magic here is, we all are different beings, and as such, our scars out weighs our footprints while our footprints does on a contrary for others.

  2. I believe that growth comes from one's cognitive orientation because what we reason is what we behave, and what we behave is what we will face as a reaction or consequence.

The piece is very practical and inspiring!
